Calculus-based introductory course for scientists covering the fundamental principles, laws and concepts of physics (mechanics). Covers mechanics (kinematics in one and two dimensions. Newton's laws of motion with applications; work and energy; conservation of energy and momentum; general rotation, including torque and angular momentum; static equilibrium, oscillatory motion, simple harmonic motion, wave motion and sound waves).
