The course presents a comprehensive study of the principles of computer system security. The course covers various topics including access control, key managements and distribution, cryptography, program and programming security that includes various types of malwares, operating system security, database security, network security, privacy and multiple of the emerging topics. The course is concerned with the protection of computer systems and their data from threats which may compromise integrity, availability, or confidentiality.
