This course aims to introduce the fundamental concepts of parallel computing. The focus is on writing parallel programs using MPI, OpenMP and multithreading. Topics include parallel computer architectures, parallel programming models, principles of parallel algorithm design, performance analysis of parallel programs, as well as highlighting current technologies such as multicore systems, cluster computing, GPU programming and CUDA.
