This course is designed for academic oriented students to provide language skills practice needed for effective participation in geology discipline. It covers the key geoscientific English language vocabulary, structure and usage, which can come across in academic textbooks, articles and lectures. The course focuses on developing technical writing skills. Technical and science reading skills, science vocabulary, and oral presentations on science topics are also covered. It provides the students with the necessary English language skills to write clear, lecture notes, well-organized lab reports, research papers, and graduation project report.
