The course involves students in techniques and methods of mining geology field methods, including: note taking, collection and resolution of field data, techniques of presenting data, techniques of mapping, analysis of geologic history and structures, introduction to mining geology illustration and report writing, development of geologic maps, and critical reviews of existing literature. The course emphasis on the various techniques of field observation, recording, analysis, and report writing in different fields of mining geology and mineral exploration. In addition, the course provides students with a complete information and training on the devices, equipment, and facilities available in the department.
