This course will provide students with the knowledge of medical language, vocabulary, and terms used among medical professionals to refer to different parts of human anatomy and physiological body systems. The course also provides students with knowledge and skills of recognizing medical terms that indicate medical procedures, diagnosis, and treatment. Therefore, in this course, students will study specific rules pertaining to medical terms including prefixes, suffixes, roots, and combined forms. Common medical abbreviations will also be covered in this course. A special focus will be given to the terminology used in medical rehabilitation, audiology, and speech pathology
