The main objective of the course is to develop an understanding of modern Global Financial theory and practice for making intellectual financial decisions. It extends investment analysis and corporate finance to the international environment. The course is divided into three sections: (1) globalization of world capital markets and the international financial environment, (2) international investment analysis, (3) international corporate finance. Students will be exposed to a broad range of topics in international finance, including international financial environment, international capital markets, foreign exchange management and risk exposure, international capital budgeting, international trade financing, foreign direct investment (FDI), and cost of capital, investing and financing decisions in multinational corporations.
This course include knowledge and skills such as critical and reflective thinking skills, analytic and problem-solving skills, quantitative analysis and information technology skills, communication and interpersonal skills, ethical and social responsibility, global, cultural diversity, and legal issues. This knowledge and skills are integral part of the assigned readings, problems and projects throughout the course.
