The E-Learning Administration is concerned with developing and supporting digital learning systems and providing innovative educational solutions that enhance the distance learning experience.

It also works to provide training and technical support to faculty members and students to ensure the optimal use of modern educational technologies, through:


 

  • Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • E-learning licenses and standards.
  • Global and local e-learning platforms.

Objectives

  1. Providing an e-learning environment that keeps pace with scientific advancements and contributes to the training and qualification of faculty members and students.
  2. Enhancing continuous electronic and social interaction between students and faculty members, among students themselves, and among all parties within the university’s educational system.
  3. Ensuring the quality of e-learning at the university.
  4. Facilitating learning anytime and anywhere with flexibility to meet students’ needs.
  5. Providing opportunities for self-directed learning online for university students.
  6. Providing rich and diverse educational resources through multimedia.

Tasks

  1. Applying general and specific e-learning standards at the university to ensure the implementation of best practices in e-learning.
  2. Enabling university staff to benefit from e-learning platforms for self-development.
  3. Promoting the culture of e-learning at the university through training programs and workshops.
  4. Providing guides, posters, and videos for faculty members and students to enable them to use Learning Management Systems and activate various e-learning methods and approaches.
  5. Enriching the university’s e-learning content.
  6. Enabling colleges to convert their courses into e-courses.
  7. Providing training on professional certifications in e-learning.
  8. Supervising, developing, and monitoring the implementation of administrative tasks within the department.
  9. Preparing and submitting periodic reports on the progress of e-learning at the university.
