What is a Risk Register?

A risk register is a document that contains a list of risks identified and monitored by representatives of Risk Management, Emergency, and Business Continuity departments. It includes all relevant data and information related to each risk, such as: the date the risk was recorded, risk code, risk title, risk owner, risk classification, risk description, likelihood and impact levels, mitigation strategy, and other related details.

This information supports the concerned entity in minimizing the occurrence or recurrence of risks by applying best practices and the required procedures.
