The Administration of University Security and Public Safety strives to provide a well-organized and safe academic environment. It is committed to looking ahead and delivering all its services to develop and enhance security efficiency and administrative services, in order to fulfill its assigned responsibilities. This, in turn, contributes effectively to raising the level of protection for individuals and property, thereby achieving the department’s vision and aspirations.

Objectives

  • Ensure security and reassurance within the university campus and its branches for all affiliates, through overall supervision and monitoring of department heads, unit managers, and their personnel in effectively performing their security and guidance duties.
  • Supervise the organization of work within the administration and assign tasks and responsibilities to subordinates, ensuring proper execution.
  • Work on training staff under his supervision and enhancing their technical and administrative competencies.
  • Issue directives to department heads, unit managers, and male and female security supervisors, and follow up on their implementation.
  • Conduct field visits to ensure operations are running as required.
  • Resolve work pressure-related conflicts among members of departments and units within the administration.
  • Responsible for following up on all administrative tasks within the administration, responding to incoming correspondence, and evaluating department heads, unit managers, and security supervisors at the end of each calendar year.
  • Develop the comprehensive plan for organizing work within the administration.
  • Issue necessary security plans for events and conferences held on campus to ensure the safety of guests and attendees, and supervise their implementation.
  • Oversee the performance of private security companies contracted by the university.
  • Monitor the traffic system within the university and ensure smooth traffic flow and the prevention of congestion.
  • Take appropriate measures to protect university facilities, their contents, staff, and visitors from all potential threats.
  • Address and resolve challenges facing the administration in coordination with university management.


 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Resolve work-related issues arising from operational pressures among staff within departments and units.
  • Oversee all administrative functions within the department, respond to incoming correspondence, and conduct annual performance evaluations of department heads, unit managers, and security supervisors.
  • Develop a comprehensive operational plan for organizing work within the department.
  • Issue and supervise the implementation of security plans for events and conferences held on campus to ensure the safety of visitors and guests.
  • Monitor contracted security companies working with the university.
  • Oversee the university traffic system, ensure smooth traffic flow, and prevent congestion.
  • Take appropriate measures to protect facilities, assets, employees, and visitors from potential risks.
  • Address and resolve challenges faced by the department in coordination with university administration.
