Program Overview
The Master’s program in Educational Measurement and Evaluation is one of the graduate programs in the Department of Educational Psychology at the College of Education, Taibah University. The total approved and required credit hours to complete the program are (44) credit hours, including coursework and the research project. The program is offered over two years across four academic levels, and the duration of study in the program is four academic semesters.
Program Mission
Preparing qualified graduates with knowledge and skills in educational measurement and evaluation who contribute to the development of their community and are capable of advancing work in schools, centers, and institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in accordance with global requirements in this field.
Program Objectives
Preparing qualified scientific cadres to meet the needs of educational and community institutions through:
•A comprehensive and in-depth understanding by master’s students of theories, research, and the latest scientific developments in educational measurement and evaluation.
• Developing students’ skills in research and inquiry in educational measurement and evaluation, and the ability to apply these skills in professional practices.
• Developing students’ skills in using modern measurement and evaluation strategies and tools.
• Developing students’ skills in applying educational technologies and computer programs in a manner that aligns with the requirements of educational measurement and evaluation.

Knowledge and Understanding
• Relates the connections between classical and modern developments in the fields of educational measurement and evaluation, or professional practice and the profession.
• Identifies specialized methods of inquiry and scientific research in the field of educational measurement and evaluation, including the analysis of psychological and educational problems and the identification of appropriate solutions for them.
Skills
• Evaluates the main concepts, principles, and theories in educational measurement and evaluation within complex contexts related to psychological, personal, and professional issues and problems.
• Uses digital applications in analyzing mixed data related to educational measurement and evaluation.
• Designs and implements an advanced scientific research study or a professional project in the field of educational measurement and evaluation, using specialized research methodologies and approaches to investigate issues related to professional practice.
Values, Autonomy, and Responsibility
• Actively participates in planning and implementing community-based educational measurement or evaluation initiatives, demonstrating social responsibility and independence in work.
• Practices ethical, professional, and human values while working on issues related to measurement.
