Overview

The college was established as a health institute for girls in Al-Ula in 1427 AH under the supervision of the General Administration of Health Institutes and Colleges at the Ministry of Health. In 1428 AH, Royal Decree No. 11032/MB was issued to transfer the ownership of health institutes and colleges to the Ministry of Higher    Education. The institute then became affiliated with Taibah University. In the academic year 1430 AH, the health institute was restructured and its name changed to the    College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Ula. It includes seven departments:

  • Department of Maternity and Child Nursing.

  • Department of Internal Medicine and Surgery Nursing.

  • Department of Physiotherapy.

  • Department of Medical Laboratories,

  • Department of Clinical Nutrition,

  • Department of Basic Medical Sciences.

  • Department of Radiology.

The student receives a bachelor's degree in nursing, and it is for female students only, which is the available program currently under the Department of Maternity and   Child Nursing.
