The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Yanbu, represented by the Vice Deanship for Graduate Studies, Scientific Research, and Community Responsibility, organized the Fifth Graduation Projects Exhibition for the year 2026 on May 3, 2026.

The exhibition included a number of research projects presented by students from the college’s three departments: Medical Laboratories, Nursing, and Clinical Nutrition. This contributed to highlighting research productivity and promoting a spirit of innovation among students and researchers, which had a significant and effective impact on the development of the research and scientific environment.

The exhibition was also attended by partners in success from both Yanbu General Hospital and the Royal Commission Hospital.

Dean of the College, Dr. Hadeel Dawood Lamfoon, and the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Scientific Research, and Social Responsibility, Dr. Yasser Mohammed Al-Qurashi, also honored the teams that won the top three positions.

The First Place Winner: Methylated Circulating Tumor DNA for Early Detection of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Diagnostic Performance and Comparison with Alpha-Fetoprotein. Under the supervision of Mr. Ibraheem Almatrafi, with the participation of the students: Rala Al-Juhani, Danah Al-Youbi, Layan Al-Mohammadi, Areej Al-Juhani, and Khawlah Al-Shanqeeti.

The Second Place Winner: Immunometabolism and Glycolytic Reprogramming in Cancer: The Therapeutic Potential of Engineered Microbiota in Modulating Tumor Glycolysis and Enhancing Anti-Tumor-Cell Function. Under the supervision of Dr. Alhanouf Alharbi, with the participation of the students: Ghaida Al-Faidi, Lana Al-Hazmi, Renad Mousa, Shadia Al-Mahmadi, and Shahad Al-Subhi.

The Third Place Winner:In silico analysis and prioritization of missense variants in the human CDT1 gene. Under the supervision of Mr. Ibraheem Almatrafi and Mr. Rayan Zolali, with the participation of the students: Tala Al-Subhi, Nada Al-Harbi, Nouran Ibrahim, and Yara Al-Balushi.

The Joint Third Place Winner: The Association Between Food Delivery Application Usage and Ultra Processed Food Consumption Patterns Among Young Adults in Saudi Arabia. Under the supervision of Dr. Sondos Flieh and Ms. Salma Alkoshi, with the participation of the students: Hala Radwan, Aram Al-Mutairi, Rama Al-Dhabyani, Manar Al-Sumairi, Jumana Al-Juhani, and Danah Al-Hujaili.
