The beginning of the College of Rehabilitation Sciences dates back to 1402 AH, when it was established under the name 'Boys Health Institute' as part of the Health Institutes and Colleges Directorate of the Ministry of Health. In 1424 AH, the college was renamed 'College of Health Sciences for Boys'.
In 1429 AH, by a royal decree, the college was transferred from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Higher Education, becoming part of Taibah University under the ministry's supervision.
In 1432 AH, the college was restructured following the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may God protect him, to develop the college. New health programs were introduced in advanced rehabilitation specialties, including:
Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Prosthetics and Assistive Devices
Audiology and Speech Therapy
Respiratory Therapy
These specialties award a bachelor's degree and align with labor market needs, contributing to the preparation of distinguished national cadres to work in various healthcare facilities.
The college offers its graduates broad opportunities in the job market through academic programs that prepare them for various roles in both public and private sectors, enable them to pursue higher studies, and empower them to contribute effectively to national development.
