About the College of Science in Yanbu Governorate

Establishment of Intermediate College for Female Teachers Preparation  in 1416/1417 AH.
The Intermediate College evolved from preparing female teachers into the College of Education for Girls in 1422/1423 AH.
The colleges of education developed at the level of the Kingdom and were transformed into colleges of science and arts. On 30/12/1429 AH, Royal Order No. 1209 MB was issued to restructure the teacher's colleges and girl's colleges affiliated with Taibah University. The college was then named "College of Science and Arts in Yanbu."
The academic departments were restructured with updated study plans during the first semester of the year 1430/1431 AH.
The college was restructured again, and its name was changed from the College of Science and Arts to the College of Science in Yanbu in 1433/1434 AH.  It now includes the following academic departments:

• Department of Chemistry
• Department of Mathematics and Statistics
• Department of Physics
• Department of Biology
