The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Yanbu Governorate, represented by the Department of Medical Laboratories through its student activities, organized field visits to schools across Yanbu and the Children’s Ward at Yanbu General Hospital as part of the "Healthy Life Lab" initiative, aiming to promote health awareness among target groups in an engaging and interactive way.
The activity was designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of daily health through hands-on educational stations that simulate healthy lifestyle practices and encourage positive behaviors in areas such as proper nutrition, physical activity, and personal care. Participants moved between multiple interactive stations offering basic health screenings, immediate guidance, and practical activities that reinforced health concepts in an accessible and straightforward manner.
In addition, the initiative included educational games and simplified awareness presentations, which delivered key health messages in an enjoyable and engaging way, enhancing participant interaction and improving their comprehension of essential health concepts.
This interactive experience empowered students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, develop professional and communication skills, and achieve a tangible impact in raising health awareness among beneficiaries, reflecting the college’s role in preparing qualified health professionals who contribute effectively to community well-being.
This initiative is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to support high-quality student activities and promote the integration of theoretical and practical learning, aligning with the university’s objectives to enhance educational outcomes and serve the community.
