The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Yanbu Governorate, under the supervision of faculty members and with the participation of students from the Nursing Department, took part in World Breast Cancer Day under the theme "Early Detection… Your Courageous Choice" at Al-Dana Mall in Yanbu Industrial City, in collaboration with the Madinah Health Cluster, represented by Yanbu General Hospital, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts in community service and health awareness.

The initiative aimed to raise health awareness among women regarding breast cancer and the importance of early detection, and to increase knowledge about early screening methods and recommended regular check-ups. It also sought to encourage positive health behaviors and proactive participation in timely screenings, reduce fear and anxiety associated with medical examinations, and correct common misconceptions. Furthermore, the event aimed to empower women to make informed and responsible decisions about their health and to promote a culture of prevention and attention to women’s health in the community.

This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to community service and the promotion of women’s health, highlighting its educational and awareness mission and its role in fostering a healthier society.
