This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the structure,
function, and metabolism of nucleic acids and vitamins. The course explores the fundamental
principles underlying the role of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and vitamins in cellular
processes and human health.

7. Course Main Objective(s):
? To deliver the basic understanding of the structure, function, and metabolism of nucleic
acids (DNA and RNA).
? To explain the processes of DNA, RNA replication, transcription, and translation.
? To describe the classification, sources, and biochemical roles of vitamins and minerals.
? To provide hands-on training on fundamental laboratory techniques and equipment
used to measure the nutritional biomarkers in serum including potassium, iron,
calcium, copper, magnesium, and sodium.
