This course introduces the fundamental principles and techniques of manufacturing processes in
mechanical engineering. It covers various production methods used in the manufacturing
industry, including casting, forming, machining and welding. Students will learn about material
properties, process selection, and the relationship between design and manufacturing. Emphasis
is placed on understanding the limitations, advantages, and applications of each process. The
course also enables students to determine forces, temperatures, power consumed and tool life in
various manufacturing processes.
