مقدمة في الطاقة المتجددة

This course provides the basic concepts of renewable energy including photovoltaic, wind energy, hydropower, bioenergy, solar thermal power, geothermal power, and ocean energy (tidal, OTEC, and wave). Starting with solar power, how energy from the sun is transferred and stored, used for heating, collected, and concentrated, and converted into electricity. Next, how wind, biomass, geothermal resources, and water can be used to generate more sustainable energy. Comparison of characteristics and cost of renewables will be explored. The course also covers fundamentals of the energy transfer as well as the limitations of natural resources.
