This course introduces the students to chemical processes and process design. It covers the integrated chemical processes design with emphasis upon both economic and environmental considerations. It includes the process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment selection, equipment and facilities cost estimation. The process design and optimization, design standards, and economic analyses are also covered.
