This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of macroeconomics from a market economy perspective, with a focus on current macroeconomic issues, policies, and relevant data.

The course begins with an introduction to basic macroeconomic concepts, then discusses major macroeconomic issues such as national income accounting, business cycles, unemployment and inflation, money and banking, fiscal and monetary policies, public debt and related policies, economic growth, development and sustainability, and international trade. It further explores the impact of government policies and economic shocks on the national economy, along with examining the effects of international trade.
