This foundational course introduces students to the fundamental principles of architectural graphics and visual communication. It emphasizes hand drawing, sketching, and drafting techniques, helping students develop precision, line weight control, composition, and architectural representation skills. The course also includes introductory lectures on the Architectural Engineering (AE) profession, specialization, and department expectations, providing students with an understanding of their future roles as architectural engineers.

Through freehand sketching, technical drafting, and diagrammatic representation, students will learn how to effectively communicate architectural ideas and spatial concepts before transitioning to digital tools in later courses.
