This course is primarily designed to facilitate clinical experience in handling neonatal and pediatric patients with the emphasis to deliver respiratory care management in acute/critical setting as-well as general wards. It is intended to develop clinical competencies in basic and advanced therapeutics, diagnostics, and other ancillary skills required for graduate respiratory therapists to treat and manage respiratory disorders of neonate and pediatric patients. This course consists of specialty rotation in neonatal and pediatric critical care. The student will also continue to perform the previous therapies. Topics include airway management, oxygen therapy, blood gases, mechanical ventilation and administration of aerosolized medications as they related to neonate and pediatric patients. Students also will rotate through pulmonary function testing laboratories and pulmonary rehabilitation clinic
