Ecology is the study of the interaction between organisms and the environment. This course focuses on the relationship between abiotic (non-living) and biotic (living) components of an ecosystem, examining the interaction between these components at the organismal, population, community, and ecosystem levels. Discussions regarding current ecological applications and issues, such as habitat destruction, sustainability, invasive species, and global climate change, will be held throughout the course.
