This course focuses on teaching an evidence-based approach to nursing critically ill patients. It
emphasizes combining pathophysiology concepts with basic nursing skills tailored to this patient

13. Apply theoretical concepts from nursing science to assess and manage critically ill
patients.
14. Develop proficiency in accurately assessing patients with complex health alterations

15. Demonstrate proficiency in the safe operation of essential critical care technologies
and devices.
16. Analyze data obtained through specialized assessment technology and laboratory
tests used to assess and monitor the status of critically ill patients.
17. Integrate pathophysiologic aspects of critical illness into the nursing management of
critically ill patients.
18. Delineate the nursing care interventions according to priorities in the acute
management of critically ill patients with single and multiple system alterations.
