This course introduces the students to the foundations of medical image recording procedures and analysis as applied to conventional X-ray radiography and fluoroscopy. Standard recording of radiographic imaging procedures and related images will be described. Common analysis techniques and procedures required to evaluate the recorded images and optimize their quality and patient radiation dose will be introduced. The course will clarify the radiographers’ role in applying these procedures and techniques and provide the students with the prerequisite knowledge and skills needed to adopt and implement this role in their clinical practice.
