This course addresses several topics in abstract algebra. It covers the following topics: binary operations and groups and their properties, the concept of subgroups, the cyclic group, the concepts of permutation group, cosets and the theorem of Lagrange, direct products and finitely generated abelian groups, homomorphisms and factor groups.
