This course will provide students with a strong ground of general principles of waste disposal techniques with an emphasis on waste types – including hazardous waste materials-, sources and characterizations. Furthermore, it focuses on migration process of pollutants and mechanism of contamination, in addition to techniques of waste collection and in-situ treatments. The course will present case studies and contains field trips to different disposal sites in the area to provide students with better understanding.
