College College of Pharmacy Program Doctor of Pharmacy Course Title Clinical Biochemistry II Course Code PHT 232 Department Pharmacology and Toxicology Course General Description This unit focuses on human genome, cell injury, inflammation, neoplastic disorders, and tissue repair, in addition to selected topics in molecular biology and antioxidants with a focus on their molecular and genetic background. Students will gain knowledge of the key concepts, principles, and emerging trends in recombinant DNA, gene therapy and antioxidants, enabling them to appreciate the intricate interplay between genomics, cellular processes, and disease pathogenesis. Clinical applications and correlations with health and disease states are explained whenever possible.
