This course introduces students to Java or Python programming, focusing on procedural programming concepts and language structures. Students will develop problem-solving skills through algorithm design, control structures, functions, arrays, and data structures. The course covers fundamental programming techniques, including coding, debugging, and testing. Additionally, students will gain an introduction to object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts using an appropriate programming language. The course also familiarizes students with the software development life cycle using modern Integrated Development Environments (IDES) such as PyCharm, Eclipse, NetBeans, or Visual Studio Code. Throughout the course, students will complete assignments and projects that reinforce problem-solving techniques and the development of business-related applications.
