Administration of Innovation and Technology Transfer has been established to manage the innovative entrepreneurial system of Taibah University in an integrated institutional manner with all its units, as it works according to the latest global practices, technologies and curricula with creative human resources and sustainable financial resources, so that the university is the maker of the knowledge society and economy in Madinah. as it enables and supports university members from faculty members, male and female students and employees from innovators and entrepreneurs in all innovative and creative fields. As well as non-university members from the community and helps them transfer their technologies and innovations to the market and link them to local industry and global factories and protect their intellectual property rights and enhance respect for intellectual property.
• Creating a stimulating environment that supports innovations, and advanced research to transform them into economic products
• Building a culture and skills of innovation and entrepreneurship among university members and enabling them to achieve added value for the university and society.
• Embracing and nurturing talented people and motivating creatives, innovators and inventors
• Developing and diversifying the university's resources and maximizing the benefits of using the university's capabilities on an economic bases.
• Building and developing strategic investment and community partnerships that support the university's capabilities in performing its activities and providing its services.
• Contributing to achieving the knowledge economy and building a knowledge society in a way that serves development goals.
• Enhancing the university's research brand and reputation.
Working to spread the culture of invention and respect for intellectual property rights inside and outside the university, by organizing seminars, lectures, and workshops related to intellectual property and technology transfer and publishing educational and advisory publications, which contribute to achieving this goal.
Providing technical and legal advice related to intellectual property in general and patents in particular to university members and members of the community.
Examining and evaluating patent registration applications.
Registering inventions at the university's expense, according to the mechanism followed for innovation and technology transfer at the centre.
Licensing the registered technology in the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Department
Supervising the university's interests related to intellectual property rights and taking the necessary legal measures to protect them.
Communicating, preparing and coordinating cooperation programs and exchanging expertise with local and international organizations, institutions and bodies interested in intellectual property and technology transfer.
