The Health and Life Research Center aims to generate high-quality scientific knowledge through advanced, multidisciplinary research in immunotherapies, infectious disease mechanisms, diagnostic tools, and biomanufacturing of biological and chemical therapeutics.
The Center seeks to translate knowledge into practical applications and innovative products that enhance human health and improve quality of life, by empowering national research talent, and building strategic partnerships with academic, healthcare, and industrial institutions locally and internationally, in alignment with the National Innovation Ecosystem and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
Objectives
- Advance applied scientific research in health and life sciences to address national health priorities and improve quality of life.
- Develop innovative vaccines and therapeutics, including immunological, biological, and chemical treatments using advanced biotechnologies.
- Design and develop precise diagnostic tools for early detection of pathogens and improved healthcare response.
- Investigate microbial and immune interactions to understand infection mechanisms and immune protection.
- Empower national research capabilities by training and mentoring researchers, technicians, and graduate students in an innovative environment.
- Localize biomanufacturing of biological and chemical therapeutics to strengthen national pharmaceutical security and reduce import dependence.
- Establish effective national and international partnerships to exchange knowledge, accelerate technology transfer, and implement research outcomes.
- Translate research innovations into products with tangible health and economic impact that support the national innovation ecosystem.
- Apply international standards of quality and sustainability in research and laboratory management to ensure institutional excellence and long-term performance.
