Preparing specialized competencies in the field of interior design who possess the scientific, technical, and creative qualifications and skills to meet the demands of the labor market. They are capable of enhancing community participation and providing research contributions that align with Islamic values and reinforce national identity.

About the Department:

The actual study in the department began in the academic year 1432-1433 AH, after two academic years from the establishment of the College of Family Sciences, under number (10/5/1429 AH) on the date (10/7/1429 AH), which was concluded with the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Chairman of the Higher Education Council, through the kind royal directive number (10209/م ب) dated 30/12/1429 AH, to restructure the College of Teachers and the girls' colleges affiliated with Taibah University, which included the establishment of the College of Family Sciences. Later, the College of Family Sciences was restructured to become the College of Design and Arts according to the administrative decision number 230/ق dated 24/3/1445 AH, to become as it is today with its current departments.
