About the Department:

The Department of Finance and Economics (was known as the Department of Finance and Investment) at the College of Business Administration was established in 1422 AH when the College of Financial and Administrative Sciences was founded as a branch of King Abdulaziz University in Medina. The Department of Finance and Investment was one of the key contributors to meeting the labor market’s needs in the field of finance. In 1428 AH, the program’s curriculum was developed in line with the standards of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA). In 1431 AH, the college underwent a major restructuring in accordance with university requirements, resulting in the renaming of the college to the College of Business Administration, comprising five departments: Finance and Economics, Accounting, Management, Marketing, and Management Information Systems. Consequently, the department has undergone updates to keep pace with these developments, the latest being the revision following the university’s unconditional institutional accreditation for seven years and the update of both the university’s mission and the College of Business Administration’s mission in 1445 AH.

The Department of Finance and Economics offers one program: the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance.
