Department of Substitutive Dental Sciences

We look forward to be a proactive member of the College and society, to be a center for the management of advanced and complex prosthodontics cases, and to be a center for scientific research in discipline of prosthodontics.

• To establish advanced academic programs of the courses offered by the department to help promote the theoretical and practical background of our students so that they are well-prepared to practice the profession after graduation, and to provide them with the necessary skills to manage different cases of tooth loss.
• To provide sponsorships to teaching assistants to complete postgraduate studies in universities of the highest ranks in the different specialties of the department.
• To activate the labs and increase their proficiency so as to meet all needs of training and practice of students and staff members.
• To spread knowledge in the discipline of prosthodontics among dentists through conducting continuous dental education courses and workshops on all topics offered by the department in collaboration with the continuous dental education committee.
• To encourage scientific research by establishing research groups consisting of department members based on their research interests and proficiencies.
• To establish Masters and Fellowships programs to meet the needs of the Saudi society.
