Mission

Active participation with the departments of the College of Education in providing facilities for the continuous improvement of the quality of educational performance at various stages of education through a true partnership with the Ministry of Education, education departments, and university staff, in order to achieve excellence in preparing student teachers, conducting research, and providing developmental educational programs and policies at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

About the Department:

The Department of Curricula, Teaching Methods, and Educational Technologies is one of the main educational departments in the college. The department was established in 1398/1399 AH, and as a result of the reorganization of departments, the Curriculum Division was attached to the Department of Islamic Education and Comparative Education, and the department's name became "Teaching Methods and Educational Technology". In 1403/1404 AH, the Curriculum Division was returned to the department, and the department's name became "Department of Curricula, Teaching Methods, and Educational Media" since that date. On 13/3/1426 AH, as a result of the reorganization of the college's departments, the Educational Media Division was separated, and the department became the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods. On 24/3/1445 AH, a decision was issued to restructure the department by merging the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods with the Department of Educational Technologies, resulting in an independent department named (Department of Curricula, Teaching Methods, and Educational Technologies). The department includes a unit for practical education that provides its services to all departments in the college, and the department is one of the educational departments that grant academic degrees at the graduate level, including the diploma, master's, and doctoral degrees, although it does not grant an academic degree at the bachelor's level, which includes a number of courses in educational preparation.
