Civil Engineering is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, airports, and water systems.
At Taibah University, the program emphasizes sustainable design, environmental responsibility, and modern construction technologies, preparing students to contribute to national development and Vision 2030 goals.
Graduates can work in both the public and private sectors, including:
Construction and contracting companies
Government agencies and municipalities
Infrastructure and transportation projects
Consulting and design firms
Environmental and water resource management organizations
Students study key areas such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, environmental engineering, surveying, and construction management.
They also gain essential skills in project planning, teamwork, computer-aided design (CAD), and the use of simulation and modeling software (like AutoCAD, SAP2000, and Civil 3D).
The department offers various student activities such as graduation projects, seminars, and engineering workshops. These activities help students apply theoretical knowledge and develop practical and professional skills.
The department supports Saudi Vision 2030 by preparing engineers capable of leading sustainable urban development and infrastructure innovation.
It focuses on research and design solutions that enhance environmental sustainability, public safety, and quality of life, particularly in the Madinah region and across the Kingdom.
