About the Department:

The Physics Department is an essential component of the College of Science in Yanbu, collaborating with three other scientific disciplines. The department plays a crucial role in offering a wide range of physics courses to students within the College, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching academic experience.

During their undergraduate studies, physics students follow a demanding curriculum consisting of 49 courses, totaling 133 credit hours. This thoughtfully designed program includes a complete sequence of core physics subjects, as well as advanced specialized courses that explore specific areas of study. This structure prepares students to earn a Bachelor's degree in Physics, opening the door to diverse opportunities across various fields.

The curriculum focuses on providing a strong theoretical foundation in physics while also emphasizing practical applications, enabling students to achieve a high level of competence. This comprehensive educational approach equips graduates to confidently pursue a variety of career paths, whether in industrial sectors or in the field of education, allowing them to make meaningful contributions to both the scientific community and society.
