The National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA) is an agency within Saudi Arabia's Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) responsible for evaluating and accrediting higher education institutions and programs in the Kingdom. It establishes and enforces academic accreditation standards, ensuring the quality of higher education through a transparent and objective system, and supervises the accreditation of programs within the country and internationally.

The aim is to ensure that the education provided by higher education institutions meets acceptable levels of quality.
Accrediting bodies develop evaluation standards and conduct review processes to verify compliance with these standards, enabling an institution to obtain accreditation.
1. Institutional Accreditation
A certification granted by local and international bodies confirming the overall quality and performance of a university.
It indicates that the institution is achieving its major goals and possesses the resources necessary to sustain future performance.
2. Program Accreditation
Recognition that an academic program has met the minimum standards of competence and quality established by the accrediting authority.
3. Professional Accreditation
Accreditation granted to professional education programs that prepare graduates for specific occupations, such as health specialties, engineering, accounting, psychology, law, and others.
It ensures that the programs meet general academic standards and the specific knowledge and skill requirements needed for professional practice.
Accreditation gives the university the trust of society and increases the value of its certificates in the job market.
Graduates of accredited universities enjoy better employment opportunities and are more likely to gain admission to leading international universities for postgraduate studies.
