The course introduces the fundamental concepts of statistical physics at the advanced level of the BSc degree program. It covers macroscopic and microscopic aspects of thermodynamic systems, entropy and the second law of thermodynamics, classical and quantum statistical distributions functions. Students are expected to solve analytical as well as numerical problem related to these topics and use them to interpret and understand various statistical physics related phenomena.
