This course represents a major channel through which the program contributes towards the community service. Students are oriented first on the main oral health concerns and major challenges of the community in Saudi Arabia. The course builds students’ awareness and sense of responsibility towards public. The principles of designing community oral health promotion program are explained. In addition, students are assigned in groups to conduct a comprehensive community-based dental educational program as part of this course.
