This course broadens students’ reading skills and strategies through authentic reading selections and develops students’ various critical thinking skills that support learning and encourage independent thinking. The course also aims to provide students with the structure and tools necessary for building vocabulary. A further objective is for students to learn test-taking techniques to prepare them for typical college exams and standardized tests.
