This course serves as a transitional stage between Short Essay Writing and more extensive writing assignments in subsequent courses. Stress is laid on how paragraphs are combined together to form a coherent essay of 1½ pages. The writing activities in this course promote the development of students' critical thinking skills, the exploration of their own ideas about different themes, and meaningful essays as the final product.
