Students in this course will examine the role of nutrition in preventing, promoting, maintaining, and improving health in the community. It investigates aspects of the emerging health delivery system, nutrition policies, social marketing, and entrepreneurial ventures. Students will study the scientific aspects of nutrition education, developing and applying community-based nutrition programs. This course will also cover the role of global food insecurity, malnutrition and hunger and their interactions.
