This course gives the student some definitions of basic concepts, principles, terms, and variables in thermodynamics and also thermodynamics systems. It clarifies the concept of work, heat, internal energy, and heat capacity. The course also includes, but not limited to, subjects such as the first law of thermodynamics and its applications, the entropy concept, the reversible and irreversible processes, the thermal machines, thermodynamics cycles, transformations, the second law of thermodynamics, and Maxwell relations.
