This course deals with the basic aspects of phycology. Topics include how to describe, differentiate and identify the major divisions of algae. Illustrate diagrammatically the life cycles of different algal divisions. The course will include short field trips (weekend trip) to local aquatic environments, such as Yanbu marine site, to collect samples of available algae species.
