The course reviews features of pediatric language and discusses in depth the causes and presentation of pediatric language disorders (affecting all of the five language domains). The course will include discussion of developmental language disorders in addition to common conditions that co-occur with pediatric language disorders such as: attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, autism, hearing loss and other syndromes. The course will explain formal and informal assessment tools for this population in addition to intervention and prevention approaches.
