The department is responsible for overseeing scientific publishing within the university's publishing media (publications for which the university owns the rights and scientific journals published by the university). The department also supports scientific societies during their founding stages and monitors their performance to enhance their sustainability and impact.
 

Scientific publishing outside the university's publishing media does not fall within the department's responsibilities and duties. Furthermore, the department does not handle research funding requests or research excellence awards.
 

The Department of Scientific Publications is concerned with peer-reviewed scientific publishing in the form of scientific books or scientific research.

Taibah University has 7 scientific journals in various scientific and academic disciplines. The university's publications are distinguished by the originality and quality of the published and peer-reviewed research based on scientific principles.
The scientific journals at Taibah University are: Taibah University Journal of Science, Taibah University Journal of Medical Sciences, Taibah University Journal of Law, Taibah University Journal of Arts and Humanities, Taibah University Journal of Educational Sciences, Taibah University Saudi Journal of Business, and Taibah University International Journal of Computer Science and Modern Engineering.

A scientific society: A specialized, non-profit scientific society in a specific branch of scientific knowledge, established at the university, comprising a group of specialists and those interested in the field.
The role and importance of scientific societies:

• Encouraging scientific research and consultations.
•  Authoring and translating scientific books in their fields of interest and other related fields.
•  Conducting scientific studies to develop aspects of applied practice.
•  Holding seminars, workshops, and courses related to their areas of interest.
•  Publishing studies, bulletins, and scientific periodicals related to their areas of interest.
•  Participating in local and international exhibitions.
•  Inviting relevant scholars and thinkers to participate in the association's activities, in accordance with the relevant procedures.
   

You can join the scientific association by contacting the relevant association and paying the membership fee. Memberships are divided into three types:

•  Active membership. 
• Honorary membership. 
• Associate membership.
