Overview

The College of Medicine at the Madinah branch of King Abdulaziz University was established in 1419H (1999) and began admitting male and female students in the 1421/1422H academic year. The college’s educational program is based on studying basic medical sciences during the early years, followed by clinical training and hands-on practice in accredited hospitals in Madinah, enabling students to develop strong scientific knowledge and essential clinical skills.

The college aims to graduate highly qualified physicians who are capable of serving the community and contributing to the development of the healthcare sector. It also continuously develops its curricula and educational programs to keep pace with advances in modern medical sciences. The first cohort graduated in 1428H (2007), and the college’s graduates have consistently demonstrated outstanding performance in the Saudi Medical Licensure Examination, frequently achieving advanced rankings that reflect the quality of the college’s educational outcomes.
